Zeekar Australia’s management director says possible plans to launch Linak & Company The brand here is not yet stack, but the linac and co -models may still end in local showrooms wearing zeekr badges.
While both Zeekr and Lynk & Co are part of the Geary Group, including Volvo, Polstar, Smart, Lotus and other brands, Zeekr captured Links & Company earlier this year, and its local office is considering whether the mark should be brought down as a stand-alone brand here.
Speaking at the recent launch of the new 7X mid-size electric SUV, ZeekR Australia Managing Director Frank Lee told Carkespert This decision has not been made on whether the Links & Company brand has to be launched here – but he indicated that his priority is.
“My personal opinion is that it doesn’t really matter to a brand with Zeekr name … [which] Brings in two or three models, and suddenly we have to make another … bring another new brand, and bring one or two models … which doesn’t really matter much, “Mr. Lee said.

It pays somewhat for the launch of Links End in Australia to the launch of the brand (but not its model), but in the moderate to medium period, but perhaps not permanently.
“At this time we are all thinking about the Zeekr model, Lynk & CO model,” said Mr. Lee.
“But for this point, I need to report to the headquarters and rethink the vision as well.”
It seems that this decision has not been officially taken to take which direction to take, but the intentions of Zeekr’s local partition seem loud and clear.
Zeekr arrived in Australia later last year, but was formed in 2021, making it five years younger than Linak & Co., but a reorganization within the Gealya group noticed that Zeekr took 51 percent stake in the old Chinese brand in February 2025.
The remaining 49 percent of the Lynk & Co is owned by Gely, including 10 percent of the Mercedes-Benz.
Gely would be officially 100 percent of Zeekr by the end of 2025, increasing its 62.8 percent stake earlier this year, so that the Zeekr brand could be brought back in private ownership after being listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2024.
The two brands have already been strongly interlocked, with the original 2020 Links and Zero Concepts in 2021, the leading Zeekr 001 in the showroom has become a production model.
While Zeekr is still under the age of one year in Australia, other Chinese vehicle manufacturers – most specially Chery – have not gone away from adding more brands to consider Australians.
After returning to Australia in 2023, the Cher brand was joined by Omoda Jacco earlier this year and will join by Leaps in 2026 – it was made the third brand launched by Cher in Australia in four years.
It is one of more than 10 auto brands operated by Cherry globally, including release, which specializes in dual-cab uuts and can help Cher be a contestant for popular Ford Ranger and Toyota Hills and promise to release it in Australia.
The first Australian customer delivery of Zeekr 7X is scheduled to begin next month (October), and the company hopes that the Tesla model will become Y opponent’s best-selling model, which is already on sale before Zeekr X Small Electric SUV and 009 Electric Peepal-Mow.
