Romain Grosgen will run an F1 car for the first time, as a miraculous migration from a fireball accident in 2020 participated from a fireball accident in Italy with his former team in Italy on Friday.

The French’s Haas Car divided into two and caught fire when it pierced an obstacle to a terrible high speed accident on the opening lap of the Bahrain race in November 2020.

Surprisingly, after an impact after spending 27 seconds in the car that measured 67g, Grosgen survived the flame-ongulfed rubble. His injuries were limited to burning behind his hands.

He missed the last two races of that campaign, resulting in a short time before his F1 career after 10 seasons, there was no seat on the grid for 2021. He returned to the race in Indycar a few months later and currently compete in sportscar in North America.

Although the F1 car has been expected for a long time for a farewell, 39 -year -old Grosjen will eventually get a chance in the Mugelo Circuit on Friday in which HAS provided its 2023 Challenger, VF -23 to the Rules of the previous cars (TPC) under the F1 test of F1 of F1.

Groszin said, “I am incredibly grateful to Jean Has and Ayo Komatsu that I was invited to invite me to attend TPC in Mugelo,” Groszen said, who was running for the team for five sessions from 2016.

“To say that I am excited to go back to the back of the wheel of a Formula 1 car will naturally be an understanding.

“I really can’t believe that it’s almost five years, but to come back and with my old team this outing is really something special.

“I am excited to see everyone, I am sure we will spend some time reminding about the old days, but I am also eager to use about the trackside agenda with VF-23-it is very good that the team now has TPC program which is as part of its growing development.”

With the accident refusing him an appropriate Swansong in F1, Groszen revealed that in Friday’s examination, he was finally given a chance to wear helmets designed for him by three of his children.

He said, “My children designed my helmet to be my last grand prix in Abu Dhabi in 2020.”

“I am going to be able to enter a Formula 1 car on Friday.”

‘We have talked about doing this for a long time’

Groszen will be re -tested with former Has colleagues, many of which now work on the team’s TPC and heritage car programs.

Principal Ayo Komatsu, Principal of the current hospital, will serve as Groszen’s race engineer on the day, again a role he worked together in Renault/Lotus for the first time, both nine years ago before joining the start-up American outfits nine years ago.

Komatsu said, “I am absolutely thrilled to welcome Romain Grosgen in Formula 1 car for the first time in five years, but especially proud that he is returning to one of our cars – this is only fitting.”

“Romain and I have worked together during my entire Formula 1 career, so this test in Mugelo holds special significance for both of us.

“I am glad that he adopted the opportunity to come back to the wheel and come back, one day that is being made additional special to see so many members of the original crew together.

“It should be a fun day and as I do, I want to know Romain, I know that he wants to give it to all of me as usual – I will expect anything less, not at least as we have talked about doing so for a long time.”
